The Road To Beast Mode Part 4

People often times times despair over days and weeks where their training and nutrition plan doesn't seem to be going the way that they thought. I am guilty of this as well. So I would like share a couple of things I've learned over the years of training myself and others.

1. Failure is a great motivator- when we are successful often it tends to lead down the path of entilement and laziness.

2. Don't forget where you were- I am as competitive as the next person but there was a time for all of us when we couldn't jog one mile and now we're mad when we don't PR every time we run. Remember you're not nearly as bad off as you used to be.

3. Embrace the pain- if you push hard enough and long enough you will accomplish your goals even if in the short term things aren't moving as fast as you'd like.

Now go attack the gym and destroy some weights!

The Road To Beast Mode Part 3

There is an attribute of God in theology called immutability it means that his character, promises, and will are unchanging. I know what you're thinking "What does this have to do with becoming a lifting beast?" Don't worry I will tell you. Getting pr's all the time and watching the inches fall off is very motivating but there will always come a time where those things will slow down or stop completely. Our first instinct is to change everything or quit altogether. Falling in love with progress is easy; falling in love with the grind is difficult. I believe to be truly successful you have to become someone who loves the process a person that gets up and puts in work every single day. Every day has to have a purpose and that purpose it to make you better. Though change in the form of programming can be beneficial we must be unchanging when it comes to being relentless in the pursuit of getting better everyday. Stay the course and trust the process.

The Road To Beast Mode Part 2

Get To Know Your Kitchen again.

Get To Know Your Kitchen again.

Anytime I've ever entered into a time of strict training it reminds me that the most successful people in the world are those who have the ability to make sacrifices that go beyond their free time but actually effect and change their priorities. I've always loved being in the gym, so that's not a real sacrifice, but making time to get plenty of sleep and cooking all of my meals from natural ingredients has been a struggle.

My encouragement to everyone this week is to examine all aspects of your training and make sure that you are sacrificing enough in every area to accomplish your dreams. No one wants to work hard and then later on figure out their plan was never going to be successful. Honesty now will lead to victory later.

Every week I will update my results. So here we go.
